Description
In this annual case law meeting, conducted in English, renowned specialists will review the most relevant and noteworthy patent cases from 2026 up to the present, including:
- Important UPC patent cases
- Key EPO rulings
- Relevant case law from The Hague Court
Naturally, the most significant rulings of the past year will be covered. Each ruling and its associated topic will be explored in depth and discussed extensively. This course is specifically designed for specialists in the field.
In short, a comprehensive course that ensures your knowledge remains fully up to date!
You can also join the course online. You can ask questions via the chat. These will be forwarded directly to the speakers, so that they can be answered during the course. However, should there be too many questions, we will submit your questions to the speaker afterwards and answer them for you.

Price
The registration fee is € 450,- per person (excl. VAT). This price includes coffee, tea, and catering as specified in the program.
You can also participate in the training online. In that case, the registration fee is also € 450,- per person (excl. VAT).If you are able to attend in person, we — and the speakers in particular — would greatly appreciate it. Experience shows that this enhances interaction during the course.
Naturally, it remains possible to switch from in-person to online attendance up to 48 hours in advance, should the need arise.

This training offers 4 teaching hours and is therefore worth 4 legal points.
Online participation
We use the software to log participant attendance throughout the entire online training. This digital record replaces the standard sign-in sheets.A test for lawyers follows at the end of the online training; this is a requirement set by the NOvA. To qualify for the Certificate of Attendance, you must answer at least 60% of the questions correctly and be logged in for the duration of the training.

Speaker
Jaap Bremer is Lawyer and Partner at BarentsKrans Lawyers in The Haque. His focus is on litigation in disputes concerning the infringement and validity of patents and other intellectual property rights, particularly for clients in the pharmaceutical, biotech, food, and consumer products industries.
Speaker
Sebastien Versaevel is Partner and European patent litigator at Winston Taylor Benelux. He focuses on European patent litigation, with an emphasis on the Unified Patent Court (UPC), and has experience before the Dutch patent courts.
